Never shying away from something difficult, Karen decided to go into the accounting field for the challenge and reward it provides. Karen has been lighting up our offices with her warm smile for over a decade now. Before coming to DFMM&C, Karen worked in a state facility as part of the Financial Department for about 10 years. That’s a double-decade dose of experience! Her 20 years of service plus her professionalism, courtesy, and hard work make her a wonderful part of our team.
As our Administrative Assistant and Receptionist, Karen is the first face you see and the first voice you hear when you get in contact with us for your tax, accounting, and other financial needs. Part of what makes the job so enjoyable for Karen is how dedicated, outgoing, and friendly the firm’s employees are. She loves to meet new people, and one of Karen’s favorite things about working in our firm is helping others understand tax returns, a necessity for every tax-paying citizen!
Although Karen considers herself a private person, you’ll never know that from the friendly demeanor, kind greetings, and patient guidance that she provides for our clients. Aside from meeting new people, Karen enjoys spending time with her son and two granddaughters. She’s a steak-lover, and though she can cook up a mean t-bone at home, she’d rather be out with her family and friends, enjoying the local steakhouses in Myrtle Beach. A traveler at heart, Karen loves to experience new places, but she’s always happy to be back here with us!
