Our leader in taxation services, Ed has been with our firm since we first began crunching numbers in 1984. At Grand Strand CPAs, Ed keeps us up-to-date on taxation policies, helping us serve the community as the best place to go for tax preparation in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Before coming to be a major player on our team, Ed earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Between earning his degree and coming to Grand Strand CPAs, Ed managed a regional accounting firm—talk about a motivated guy!

A member of the Taxation Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ed stays involved in the accounting community and puts his knowledge to work in the Myrtle Beach community as well. Ed participated in Class III for the Board of Regents of Leadership Grand Strand, and he also gave his time as Treasurer for the organization.

He’s not just a top Myrtle Beach accountant, he’s an outstanding figure in the community and a dedicated family man. Ed married his lovely wife Claudia in 1981, and the two of them raised their sons, Merritt and Patterson, to be upstanding members of the Myrtle Beach community as well. Working as Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 850, Ed put in the time as a dad and a leader, making sure his sons had the right foundation. Additionally, Ed has put in countless hours in other parts of the local community by serving in many positions in the Rotary Club, and he’s put his skills to use in local churches as well through his time as Senior Warden and Vestry member of Trinity Episcopal Church, and as Treasurer and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church.

An all-around outstanding guy, we’re proud to have Ed Farmer on our Grand Strand CPAs team. Come on by and meet him yourself—you’ll be glad you did!
